POSITION OVERVIEW

The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible leading process improvement initiatives throughout the 80 Acres production farms.  This role will utilize lean manufacturing principles to identify, develop, and implement improvements that result in higher yields and process efficiency and improved environmental sustainability.  

RESPONSIBILITIES and Duties

• Facilitate Continuous Improvement (Kaizen) events at production farms to identify, prioritize, develop, and implement process improvement opportunities.
• Process mapping and business analysis to identify and quantify improvement opportunities.
• Manage and improve the operator training system, including standard process documentation.   
• Develop and implement visual tools to improve communication, drive key production metrics.
• Incorporate sustainability principles and metrics into the continuous improvement project portfolio to drive measurable advances in performance.
• Serve as a mentor and coach with guidance and training, to create a culture of continuous improvement throughout the company.
• Follow all safety requirements and strive to maintain a safe work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

 QUALIFICATIONS

• BS in applicable technical field preferred.
• Experience facilitator and motivational leader.
• Certified in Lean / Six Sigma methodology.
• Food processing experience preferred.
• Creative problem-solving and rapid prototyping skills.
• Work in a team environment.
• Strong organizational and analytical thinking skills.
